Public displays of the seriously affected

Being independently employed, Mr. Slug understands the importance of a good cash flow. Mr. Slug is not afraid to "Get into the trenches" and work hard to keep a nice pile of working capital available to keep his own business up and running. These are hard times indeed. Top executives all over the country have had to take off their ties (and lampshades) to work an extra job so that they can continue to keep their companies afloat. Mr. Slug knows that if he keeps a cool head he should be able to weather through the financial storm with the extra money he makes on the weekend.
There is, however, a limit to what a slug can take. Too bad Mr. Slug can't verbalize his thoughts or he would get fired. He is likely to be thinking, "If I have to pull over, your ride is over! You can all slide to the airport on your bellies for all I care!" But no, he cannot say those things. He loves his other job too much. Being the responsible executive that he is, Mr. Slug has an imaginary clamp firmly affixed to his tounge at all times. So, without further ado, Mr. Slug shall give you his business tip of the week: "Think as much as you want, but say as little as possible. Resist the urge to purge."

Oh my, this looks like a very fun place... for slugs ! And maybe for snails too ? I wonder though, I have a little doubt, do Toads eat slugs ? Well, I know I like snails, especially piping hot in a nice melted butter and garlic sauce... but haven't tried any slugs yet. Will be back to keep an eye on the slimy goings on here...
Signed,
Mr Toad

Well, that's one way to avoid a slugfest! Keep one's mouth shut! From my dealings with slugs over the years, two more ways come to mind: 1) humor (Since we'll be spending the night in the van, pick a bed.) and 2) diversion (Let's see who can point out a green Volkswagen first.)
Thanks for stopping by my blog, Ms. Babbler-Slug!

Oh, I am so glad to have dicovered mr Slug! he rocks, and your cartoons are brilliant - very funny! I think a Tiddles / Mr Slug comic strip would be a good comibnation, especially as Tiddles likes to garden (he odesn't eat slugs!) Mr Slug should get published as a book, it sooo good!

Very good advice indeed Mr. Slug! Mr. Slug is wise beyond his years my dears! Now I shall remember to clamp my tongue when I have the urge to purge! LoL! I am off to create a good work area in which to make some slugs come to life. I am honored to be the "offical" slug maker!!! I must get busy!!!

Oh my...thank you so very much for the sweet and thoughtful comment you left on my cats blog today!

Of course, I had to come and see who had left such kind sentiments and being from Oregon before I moved to Virginia...

Thought I knew a thing or two about slugs...nope, I see I am a slug neophyte!

I enjoyed my visit and will follow your slug trail now...

Oh my, it looks like people are really slugging it out here now ! And slug trails are multiplying faster than rabbits around the blogosphere... I have to admit, we have some really huge slugs in the woods near where the Toad and la Grenouille live here in France. I promise, if I can find one I'll get the picture to you one way or the other... seems to me some of them are orange... do you know anything about that ? Are they relatives ?
